Day One

First full day in Tirana.

Views from outside my hotel:



Today was mostly training in the hotel. PC Albania seems to be run by competent folk, I'm pleased to report.

This is Programming Director Kyle. He's roughly my age. I envision him as me from another universe, had I done PC 10 years ago.

On the far left is Kate, the PC Albania country director. Standing up is Genti, the training director. He leads most training things. He is a total pro. There's a part in Forrest Gump that I vaguely recall when Gump is talking about Lieutenant Dan and he says something like, "I'm sure glad he's my lieutenant." That's how I feel about Genti.

The food has been very good so far. And the bright young college grads have treated me like one of their own. Here is what lunches look like:
