Sunny One So True

Sunny continues to be a presence. Our group continues to exercise discipline in never petting or feeding her. She waits for us when we go into businesses. It's a new normal.

Another new normal is visiting Kafe Petro. I'm there pretty much daily. Blerta made us byrek today for lunch. At least, we think it was byrek--it was some kind of spinach pastry but different from any other byrek I've had yet. So nice of B. to serve this to us!

Chilling with Blerta:

Language class was difficult today. Things weren't sticking in my brain. I have no photos of this.

In the afternoon we discussed our community project. No problems here. Thanks for writing on the board, Anna.

After class I went on a mini-hike with two folks from the group. We found a Hoxha bunker. This one didn't have the characteristic concrete dome. It was essentially just some tunnels in the side of a hill. If things go south with my host family, I might come live here.

And I was able to snap a couple photos of the village before I came back. Albania continues to be gorgeous.

Lastly, the sunset this evening over Kuqan and Shirgjan, as captured by Sarah. Nice photo, motër!
